Cleaning & Restoration Technician

Referral Cleaning & Restoration Inc. has an opening for a career minded, customer oriented, responsible person to help service our customers for carpet cleaning and water damage restoration. We are building a friendly, energetic, detailed oriented team with a "Can Do Attitude", excellent communication skills, spirit of willingness and cooperation and professional appearance. This position is for training a new tech. The intent is to teach this person to become a lead technician and when ready, in charge of their own service vehicle with another tech learning from them.

We are currently a very strong high quality residential cleaner. We are looking to expand our three divisions of Residential, Commercial and Water Damage Restoration. Referral Cleaning & Restoration Inc. is a professional cleaning and restoration company. We take pride investing in top of the line equipment and tools. We clean carpet, upholstery, oriental rugs, tile & grout, remove pet stains & odor, protect carpet & fabric, offer emergency water damage restoration services and sell carpet care products. These services are performed in residential and commercial settings as well as in-shop items such as, area rugs, auto interiors, RV’s, etc. The work is scheduled around the clients availability, most residential work between 8am -6pm, commercial work at night or on the weekend, in shop work as it fits into our schedule and emergency restoration work is 24/7 response.

We are a small company, every person pitches in to get things accomplished. As hard as we try, there may not always be ‘normal’ workday hours. We may work long hours 10, 12, or on some rare occasions even more. Based upon customers needs, we may be extremely busy one day and possibly slow the next. Some months are typically busier than others. During thunderstorm season, we may work around the clock with very little sleep for a few days straight doing water damages.
No experience is necessary; we can train anyone with a positive attitude how to do the work. We take our training very serious, since our clients expect the highest quality from us.

Responsibilities Include:

Residential & Commercial- Operating Equipment for cleaning of: Carpet, Upholstery, Tile/Grout, Oriental and Area rugs, Auto Interiors, and Emergency Water Damage.
Pre & Post Inspection of Areas to be Cleaned.
Creating ‘Client Cheerleaders’ through Regular Communication with the Client while Working at their Home/Business.
Estimating and Sales using Education Based Marketing.
Reporting and Completing Paperwork: Work Done/Time, Sales Forms, Work Orders turned into the Office.
Calculating the Total Invoice, Collecting, Verifying and Handling Funds.
Reading Maps, Navigating to Job Sites and Driving our Company Vehicles to and from Jobs.
Following Company Policy including a Dress/Uniform/Personal Appearance Policy.
Learning and following Our Systems and Procedures.
Maintaining and Repairing Cleaning Equipment.
Maintenance and Cleaning at our Office Property.
Ongoing Education Commitment: Besides a company training program to get technicians competent. Referral has a library of training manuals, videos, cd’s, tapes, and trade magazines. Technicians also will attend training classes held at times outside of our area. Technicians will continually learn and improve their skills.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or minimum of GED
Good English Communication Skills
Dependable Transportation with a Valid, Insurable Indiana Drivers License and Safe Driving Record
Enthusiastic / Personable / Positive thinker, Teachable with a ‘Can Do’ Attitude
Basic Math Skills, Computer Experience a Plus
Clean Cut Appearance a Must, We Provide a Non-Smoking Environment
Ability to Work Flexible Hours Critical

Benefits: Earn $25,000 to $30,000 your first year. Starting pay is based upon experience. Future rate increases are based upon training courses passed, attitude, production hourly rate, goals met and overall performance. We want you to learn more so you can earn more. Office Manager / Bookkeeper / Receptionist

Responsibilities Include:
Answering incoming phone calls, giving an accurate quote for requested services, properly answering questions, use education and salesmanship to convince callers to use our service.
Efficiently scheduling jobs for multiple trucks & technicians
Understanding of our cleaning services and procedures to properly answer the callers questions and solve their problem
Prepare work orders
Inside sales to our client base
Making pre cleaning reminder and follow up quality assurance calls to jobs
Receiving rugs in shop including inspecting, measuring, quoting, loading/unloading
Product sales from our office
Process payroll
Invoicing jobs
Filing
Track #'s and generate sales reports
Data entry & book keeping
Accounts payable & receivable
Handle customer concerns
Creating, printing and mailing client correspondence and marketing materials
Housekeeping chores at the office
Creating & maintaining established relationships with our networking partners thru personal visits, phone calls and email
Operate office equipment including computer, phone, scanner, fax, printer, typewriter, & time clock
Occasional errands or deliveries

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or minimum of GED

Computer Skills : Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Quickbooks, Database Management, Email, Typing Accurately, 10 Key, Simple Graphic Design
